The founders of Takeover Sound established the company since 2003. Takeover Sound is now one of the biggest DJ teams in Boston. They began by doing little gatherings for close friends and family. Although Takeover Sound started with 3 official members, there were 5 others that always came to support. Eventually, the business expanded and formed the current team of Takeover Sound today. Now with the expansion, Takeover was allowed to do bigger events and increase their number of contacts and cliental. This expansion was a great advantage for them because more work was done and bigger and better gigs came about.

You may be wondering why they’re called Takeover Sound. There are two reasons: The first reason is from their past experiences. They would go to parties together just for the pleasure of enjoying themselves. When they arrived, there would be occasions where the music was lacking equipment, sound, people, etc.  After this was noticed, Takeover offered to DJ to get the party moving. Once the turntables were touched, the magic happened, and the crowd would start rocking to the beat of the music which in the end would save the party. This happened frequently and they were constantly taking over parties and giving the audience what they wanted which was a good time.  At the point, they realized they should be called Takeover Sound. Once the mentality of taking over was embedding within them, they incorporated that in everything they did. Their goal is to take over the whole DJ industry. They believe goals are set to be high because they know it can be achieved.

Takeover Sound has accomplished several events with our DJ services. We have done birthday parties, weddings, high school events, shows, college parties, and many more. Some colleges that we are affiliated with include: Bridgewater State College, Lasalle College, UMass Boston, UMass Amherst, UMass Dartmouth, Brandeis University, Suffolk University, MIT, Fitchburg State College, Simmons College, Bentley College, WPI, University of Bridgeport, Holy Cross, Yale and Mount Ida. Our events have been a great success in which all of our customers have returned to us for other events.

Takeover Sound is a tight group. They consider each other family because they all practically grew up together. Their family bond enables them to work well together. They not only support each other in this business but also outside with school, work, personal dilemmas, or anything which we may need attention. This is a short history of Takeover Sound, but with this great family, great collaboration of minds, and union of their talents, history just began and they will be around for a long time.
