What would you be doing if you weren’t a musician I honestly haven’t had a moment I can recall thinking about being anything other than a musician. Time spent idle, is time wasted. Once I told myself this is what I want to do until my last breath taken, I have done nothing but work hard at being the best at what I do. That is deliver great clean music for the many people who love and respect my music. How was your childhood Coming up, I was fortunate to have been raised by good parents, and groomed into the young man you see today. I have done my share of trouble making, and have learned from mistakes I've made. I've also had a few encounters with death as well so my appreciation for life exceeds most. I try not to live in my past as much as possible, and choose to focus on the one thing I have control over, my destiny. But shout out to my past! What advice would you give to musicians/artists Just be very hungry and very humble, before anyone can believe in you, you first have to believe. Make sure that music is really what you want to do, and your not making music for the wrong reasons. Just go HARD! and the sky’s the limit! What inspired your music career I have had many encounters wit music but it wasn’t until 3 years ago I began to take it very serious, because I feel like it saved my life. I found myself at a very dark, and gloomy point in my life and I felt like it was me against the world. No friends, No Family, just ME! and that was when my thoughts were thrown onto protools. What do you do in your spare time The little bit of time I do have to spare I like to enjoy. I like to hit the gym, play ball, cool with a select few, and hand out 20 piece Mc Nuggets in NBA 2k10 lol. What are your long term goals At the end of all of this I want people to love and respect my music. I want to be a respected artist in the game forever. I want to headline major shows , sell out arenas. Sell millions of records and tour the world. I want to be that success story. Who has the biggerst influence in your musical career? Ultimately, the fans of my music are most influential to my musical career. They are the reason I continue to pour music out into the streets as well as over the net. Music is life, I’ve seen myself become a role model to many others, and I no longer have room for mistakes. with that being said nothing that I say on a song will influence someone else to go out and ruin their life. My music is music for a Go Getta, Grinder, Fighter, because nothings handed to you in life you gotta get on your grind. What are the biggest obstacles you feel an artist like your self faces today? Right now it just seems like Hip-Hop is depicted as negative in the eye of the media, and that’s not always the case. I look at myself as being a CLEAN artist, I choose not to use profanity in any of my songs. But still at the end of the day there is only a select few that are in the same lane as I am, so my challenge right now is exposing our music to the World. What is your best live performance? I feel my best live performance was at a silent auction with this non- profit organization I am apart of "Boston All-Stars". This was my first time performing in front of a completely different demographic of people that I had been use to. In front of business men and women in their late 30's, 40's and 50's. This was a great experience for my career, stepping outside of comfort zone while gaining skills. If you could work with any artist/group dead or alive who would it be and why? If I could work with any artist dead or alive the artist would have to be tupac shakur hands down. to me Pac was the definition of real. His work ethic couldn’t be matched, and he has defiantly paved the way for artist like myself to be looked at as more than just rappers in some cases. From the studio to the movie screen he brought the same swagger. Shoutout to Pac RIP Do you ever get stage freight I get butterflies before every performance but I realize this is what I want, this is what i signed up for. This is what all the long nights in the studio and promoting online are for. I look at a performance as a reward for the hard work done prior to performing. After I hear the instrumental its Showtime and all things outside my performance are irrelevant. Why have you succeeded where many others have failed? I feel I've succeeded because I’ve been very consistent. I didn’t start out where you now see me, and i honestly feel i am no where. That’s the mentality I’ve always had, the "this isn't enough" mentality. people often times get a lil too comfy with their success, but you always have to remember theirs someone always coming for your spot. So that just motivates to go even harder than the next man. What can we expect from you in the future Right now i am working on my second mixtape titled "Motivate The Motivators" i mean it speaks for its self, I’m about keeping the cycle of grinding flowing.
